Amid growing concerns over travel delays and cancellations over the July 4 weekend, a jaw-dropping deal from a US airline has been announced. Last week, a Delta Air Lines flight from Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Minneapolis, Minnesota, was overbooked. In order to fix the problem, Delta reportedly offered passengers on that flight $10,000 each to transfer to a different flight. Not all of the passengers on that flight accepted Delta’s offer, but many of them did. NewsCenter 5 hasn’t heard of any big deals like this inside Logan International Airport on Saturday, but there were delayed and canceled flights — and frustrated passengers. “Yes, we were delayed on our first flight and had to change flights. And we hope that will not happen yet because we have things to do and we want to go home. So we will see”, said Alex Logan, a Michigan resident returning home from a family reunion in Massachusetts.
