Colorful AIO with GPU for RTX 3060 Laptop

EJ Hardware is testing Colorful’s new AIO gaming system.

The team of Chinese technology media “EJ Hardware” has a sample of Colorful G-One Plus AIO gaming PC. This device debuted last month and it is now available for sale. This product is an all-in-one gaming system, which means there is no standard PC chassis here, but a large monitor stand that hides all the components except the power supply (which is actually a fairly large 330W unit).

G-One includes a custom motherboard for Intel Alder Lake-H mobile processors and NVIDIA’s RTX 3060 laptop GPU. Technically speaking, it’s a laptop attached to the monitor. Gamers can’t replace the CPU or GPU, but standard SO-DIMM slots for DDR5 memory are there. Additionally, users can upgrade the PC with a secondary M.2 SSD and replace the M.2 Wi-Fi card if needed.

The AIO PC is offered with three Alder Lake processors: Core i5-12500H (12 cores), Core i7-12700H (14 cores) or Core i9-12900H. The system tested by EJ Hardware includes the Core i5-12500H, therefore the lowest version. The graphics, on the other hand, are the same for each configuration. This is the full power Max-P variant of the GeForce RTX 3060 laptop graphics card (so 115W + Dynamic Boost). In stress testing, this GPU achieves a maximum card power of 134W.

Colorful G-One has been tested in synthetic and gaming benchmarks (the latter can be found by watching the video below). The processor performs as expected for a laptop with similar specs, but the GPU is a slightly different story.

In the 3DMark test, the PC scores 26,793 points in the FireStrike GPU test, which is even better than the Core i7-12700H-based AUS TUF laptop with RTX 3060 GPU (23,109 points) according to NotebookCheck ranking. This is, in fact, the highest score reported by the website.

This is an interesting product concept (although not entirely new). Gaming-enabled AIO PCs might find use where space is at a premium, but a bigger screen is always better. A college dorm or internet cafes might be the first thing that comes to mind. The system EJ tested costs $1999, so much more than the typical RTX 3060 laptop these days.
