EastEnders drops whopping hints that another major legend is returning

Significant hints were made.

When planning her wedding to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) believes one person won’t attend the event.

Of course, we’re talking about her daughter Zoe (Michelle Ryan). Viewers are aware that the two’s relationship has always been tense, but they don’t appear to have spoken in a long time.

Kat considers inviting Zoe to her wedding this week, but ultimately decides against doing so.

Lily (Lilia Turner), seeing how upset Kat is, decides to take matters into her own hands. She finds Zoe on social media and messages her, explaining how much Kat wants her at the wedding.

However, Kat is not at all amused when Lily calls her a “cow” after being shocked to learn what she had done. As soon as Lily lets on that Zoe is in London, she arranges a meeting at Peggy’s for that very evening.

Kat goes to Peggy’s despite her reservations, but Zoe isn’t there.

The relationship between Kat and Zoe has always been tense.

Could it only be a matter of time before Zoe makes her eagerly anticipated comeback given how heavily the mother and daughter’s relationship has been discussed in the show lately?

Between 2000 and 2005, Zoe appeared regularly on EastEnders and was a part of several major storylines, including the murder of Den Watts and the infamous confrontation with Kat, who revealed that she was her mother.

This summer, EastEnders’ normal broadcast schedule was thrown off by sports, so it was decided to give viewers the option of watching episodes of the BBC One soap online before they were broadcast.

Up until mid-August, new episodes of the soap opera will be released on iPlayer every Monday.

Later this week, these episodes will still air on BBC One and Two. And this is a week in Walford that should not be missed, whether you’re binge-watching or watching on television.
