Today star Hoda Kotb opened up about the struggle that happened while on a family vacation during the break
Hoda Kotb was able to enjoy a few days off with her family, as she took the week before and spent the 4th of July weekend relaxing.

However, what was supposed to be a fun family vacation ended up including unwanted stress, which she explained when she returned to Today.

Speaking to Justin Sylvester, who replaced Jenna Bush Hager on the last payment of Today with Hoda and Jennathey talked about taking spontaneous trips and surviving without routes.
Hoda then challenged, “I want to show you my vacation, and next time I’ll invite you,” then sharing a selfie of herself with her daughters Hope and Haley aboard their flight.

“We got on the plane, me and my girls,” she began. “We were supposed to go to Orlando, but there were weather issues, so we had to sit on the tarmac in Tampa for three hours.
“And then we got there and ended up in Orlando around 7-8 at night, we left at 11 [in the morning]“, continued Hoda, Justin feeling bad for her.
Hoda’s family vacation wasn’t without its ups and downs
“Wait,” she added, before conjuring up another photo of her daughters on their trip with face paint looking as happy as can be.
“Then we got to Universal, which was awesome. It was a 110, and the kids were having fun putting on makeup, and then we went to Disney after that.”

Justin then replied that he would be there to accompany them on the trip as per Hoda’s challenge. “How much chardonnay are we packing? How much Kathie Lee juice are we packing for the day,” he joked.
While Hoda was away, Jenna was joined by a host of guest hosts who were a hit with fans, and she couldn’t have been happier.
The Today the star took a leave of absence
The NBC star even posted a photo from his flight home where she was able to enjoy watching her co-star with Michelle Buteau, saying, “Flight back from vacation and look who’s joining!” with Jenna commenting, “I miss you!!!!!”
