JK Rowling has slammed a pair of doctors for arguing it is ‘psychotic’ and ‘disgusting’ for women with disabilities to demand female doctors for their intimate health care on Sunday.

Rowling weighed in on a Twitter debate over women’s care in which a number of people claiming to be doctors argued that women’s rights advocates are “psychotically hooked” on fighting gender ideology.

“Intimate touching without consent is sexual assault,” Rowling wrote. “Self-proclaimed doctor says it’s ‘psychotic’ for women with disabilities to assert women’s right to intimate care.”

“I pray he’s not really a doctor, just a standard misogynist here to troll, but anyway,” she added, followed by a series of red flag emojis.

However, many agreed with Rowling’s statement, saying it’s perfectly reasonable for women to prefer female doctors for some of their healthcare needs.

“How can anyone even have a problem with that?” a user replied to Rowling. “Early in my adult life, I worked in nursing homes. If some old ladies only wanted women to shower them or help with hygiene after the toilet, then that’s just ‘d’ okay ma’am, let me get one of the girls”.

Rowling has quickly established herself as one of the most prominent critics of gender ideology in popular culture, despite fierce backlash and even threats from supporters of the movement.

The world-renowned author of the ‘Harry Potter’ book series continues to use his platform of 14.5 million Twitter followers to argue that biological sex cannot be ignored.

Rowling raised her eyebrows for weighing in on the touchy subject since before 2020 when she argued “it’s not hate to speak the truth” about gender.

“If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction,” Rowling tweeted at the time. “If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women around the world is erased. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex robs many of the ability to meaningfully discuss their lives. It’s not hate to tell the truth.”
