Lucci’s Market in Wilmington was purchased by McKinnon’s Supermarkets and will operate under the McKinnon’s banner. The owners of Lucci’s Market, John and Susan Lucci, are retiring. John Lucci’s father, also named John, opened the original market with his mother, Midge, in 1956. But they noted that they would continue to operate the store in much the same way as John and Susan Lucci, including keeping Lucci’s famous subs and sandwiches “as they are.
