When current EastEnders stars Max Bowden (Ben Mitchell) and Jamie Borthwick (Jay Brown) recently gathered with some friends, it was a reunion of past and present fan favorites.
Former Walford legends Dean Gaffney and Michael Greco, who portrayed Robbie Jackson and Beppe Di Marco, joined the stars for a night out.
The four actors were enjoying a few drinks when Dean Gaffney posted a picture of them all together with the caption “Passing the baton” on his Instagram stories.
Naturally, Dean portrayed Robbie Jackson, the famous dog owner of Wellard and the brother of Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) and Bianca (Patsy Palmer) in the film. When the Jackson family moved into the Square in 1993, Dean first appeared on EastEnders as a cast member. He last made an appearance in 2019.
From 1998 to 2002, Michael Greco portrayed Beppe Di Marco, whose persona clashed with Grant and Phil Mitchell (Ross Kemp and Steve McFadden). He had romantic relationships with Tiffany, Grant’s wife (Martine McCutcheon), and he once owned the E20 club, which is now Peggy’s.
While Ben continues to deal with the effects of being raped, Max Bowden and Jamie Borthwick are very busy in the ongoing EastEnders storylines because everyone believes Jay is having an affair with Lola (Danielle Harold) behind Honey’s (Emma Barton) back.
This is preparing the audience for Danielle Harold’s heartbreaking departure from the show as they watch Jay take care of Lola after learning she has a brain tumor.
