NBA 2022 Free Agency: Day 2 Recap

The pace of contract deals reported on Day 2 of the NBA’s free agent period has slowed somewhat after a hectic first day on Thursday. Still, we’ve seen more than 20 other free agents leave the roster, including one who became the second free agent to receive a maximum salary pledge this summer.

It was also a turbulent day in non-free agent NBA news, with a three-time Defensive Player of the Year headlining a blockbuster trade deal and a former No. a contract extension at maximum salary.

Below are Friday’s NBA highlights.


Free agent contracts:

These agreements are not yet official, so the reported terms could change – or the agreements could fail altogether. Overall though, teams and players are on track to finalize those deals sometime after the moratorium ends on July 6.

Note: Some of these salaries may include options, incentives, or unsecured money.

  1. Zach LaVine, bulls agree to a five-year, $215.16 million (maximum salary) contract.
  2. Jusuf Nurkic, Trail Blazers agree to a four-year, $70 million contract.
  3. Michael Robinson, Knicks agree to a four-year, $60 million contract.
  4. Kevon Looney, Warriors agree to a three-year, $25.5 million contract.
  5. Ricky Rubio, riders agree to a three-year, $18.4 million contract.
  6. John Wall, Mowers agree to a two-year, $13.2 million contract.
  7. Bruce Brown, Nuggets agree to a two-year, $13 million contract.
  8. Danilo Gallinari, Celtics agree to a two-year, $13 million contract.
  9. Jalen Smith, Pacers agree to a two-year, $9.6 million contract.
  10. Donte Di Vincenzo, Warriors agree to a two-year, $9.3 million contract.
  11. Derrick Jones, bulls agree to a two-year, $6.6 million contract.
  12. Bryn Forbes, timber wolves accept a one-year contract with minimum wage.
  13. Aaron’s Vacation, falcons accept a one-year contract with minimum wage.
  14. Damion Lee, Suns accept a one-year contract with minimum wage.
  15. Robin Lopez, riders accept a one-year contract with minimum wage.
  16. Raul Neto, riders accept a one-year contract with minimum wage.
  17. bowl bowl, Magic agree to a two-year contract.
  18. Luc Kornet, Celtics agree to a two-year contract.
  19. Otto Porter, raptors agree to a two-year contract.
  20. Drew Eubanks, Trail Blazers agree to a one-year contract.
  21. Theo Pinson, Mavericks agree to a one-year contract.

Professions:

  1. Jazz agree to exchange Rudy Gobert at timber wolves for five players, four first-round picks (three unprotected) and one pick trade.
  2. Pacers agree to exchange Malcolm Brogdon at Celtics for five players – including Daniel Theis and Aaron Nesmith – and a first-round pick in 2023 (top 12 protected).
  3. falcons agree to trade Kevin Hurter for kings for Justin’s Vacation, Maurice Harklessand a 2024 first-round pick (top 14 protected).

Other news:
