New Nothing Phone 1 teasers give us a little preview of the handset

New teasers for Phone 1 don’t show much, though

The Nothing Phone 1 has been teased constantly over the past few months, and it’s clear the brand will continue to give us little previews of the phone ahead of a big reveal coming on July 12. The last two days have brought us the most frustrating teasers yet as both show a small preview of the phone. These new teasers come directly from Nothing is the Twitter account, but the phone is not clearly in either plane. Instead, the teasers oddly focus on birds.

The bottom edge of the first teaser photo shows the top of the phone, where the birds are sitting. Nothing’s tagline says “Curious? So are they”, so we can be pretty sure this is a teaser for the upcoming handset. We see the top camera on the back and the design looks like an iPhone with rounded corners. We can also see antenna strips along the top of the device, leading us to believe it will have a metal rear. Previous design leaks have focused on a black version of the phone, but it looks more like a white tint.

This design matches the leaked images we’ve seen of the handset, leading us to believe they may be accurate with a camera module in the top left corner of the back of the phone. We’re not sure what other cameras we’ll see here, but leaks suggest there will be three with a 50MP main camera, 8MP secondary and a 2MP third camera on the rear.

The second trailer, which you can see above, landed a day later on June 14, and we saw the left edge of the back of the smartphone. It’s even more limited in what it shows on the handset. Some have started assembling these teasers into diagrams, like the one below, to give us a better idea of the overall look.

In just under a month, we’ll hear all about the Nothing Phone 1. The company is hosting a launch event on July 12 at 11 a.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT / 4 p.m. BST. Previous leaks have indicated that the phone will go on sale on July 21, and some believe it will cost around €500 in Europe. That’s around $525 at current exchange rates, so expect a similar mid-range price in the US.

A new Nothing teaser with an equally frustrating look

Nothing revealed a second trailer of the phone, which is the left edge of the back of the phone. However, it still doesn’t show us much more of the device.
