She was previously in a long-term relationship with Rolling Stones rocker Mick Jagger, with whom she shares four children, but the two never married during their 22-year relationship.
Murdoch, who is worth $17.7 billion, has six children in total: daughter Prudence MacLeod with first wife Patricia Booker, daughter Elisabeth and sons Lachlan and James with second wife Anna Mann, and daughter Chloe and Grace , whom he shares with his third wife Wendi Deng.
Details of Murdoch and Hall’s divorce have yet to be shared, but the couple have no children together.

The couple tied the knot in London in March 2016 in a very low-key ceremony at Spencer House, which overlooks Green Park, after a whirlwind five-month romance.
At the time, the media mogul expressed his joy for the union, tweeting shortly after the ceremony, concluding that he would be taking a break from social media in order to enjoy life as a newlywed.
‘No more tweets for ten days or never!’ he wrote. ‘Feel like the luckiest AND happiest man in the world.’
The wedding was Hall’s first official walk down the aisle – although she and Jagger had an unofficial wedding ceremony in Bali in 1990, but it was ruled void by the UK High Court after they separated.
The Mail on Sunday revealed in October 2015 that Murdoch and Hall were dating – days before they made their public debut as a couple at Twickenham rugby (pictured)
Murdoch had exchanged wedding vows three times before marrying Hall.
He married his first wife, former flight attendant Patricia, in 1956, but the couple separated in 1967, nine years after the birth of their only child, Prudence.
That same year, he married his second wife, Anna, a Glasgow-born journalist to whom he was married for 32 years, before their divorce in 1999.
As part of their divorce settlement, Anna received $1.7 billion, including $10 million in cash, according to CNBC.
Murdoch married Wendi just 17 days after divorcing his second wife Anna.
At the time of their marriage, Murdoch was 68, while Wendi was just 30.
That marriage lasted 14 years, before it was announced the couple were divorcing, with a News Corp spokesperson revealing in June 2013 that their union had been “broken irretrievably for more than six months.”
Murdoch and Hall began dating quietly in 2015, with The Mail on Sunday revealing in October of the same year that they began their romance after being introduced to Australia by one of Murdoch’s sisters and his niece.
The couple went public with their relationship on October 31 when they were first seen together in the Rugby World Cup final at Twickenham in London.
They then attended the Golden Globes in Los Angeles in January 2016 – days before Murdoch announced the couple were engaged.
Murdoch popped the question with a 10-carat marquise diamond engagement ring that was worth up to $3.5 million.

Murdoch was first married to Patricia Booker, a former flight attendant from Melbourne.
They had a daughter, Prudence, together but separated in 1966 after 11 years of marriage.
A year after the divorce, he married Glasgow-born journalist Anna Torv, whom he met while working for a newspaper in Sydney and had the chance to interview her.
The couple had three children together and were married for more than 30 years before ending their relationship in 1999. Details are scarce but it is reported that the divorce could have cost them $1.2 billion.
Just weeks after the divorce, Murdoch married Wendi Deng, a Chinese businesswoman, whom he met while an intern at a television station owned by News Corp.
She was 38 years her junior and had previously been married to a man 30 years her senior.
Murdoch and Deng separated in 2013 and he remained single until news broke of his relationship with former model Jerry Hall – 25 years his junior – last year.
Meanwhile, Hall was perhaps known for her relationship with Mick Jagger, who she had been with for over 20 years. However, she had a history of star-studded relationships long before she met him.
She moved to Paris as a model in the 70s and was reportedly Brian Ferry’s girlfriend, appearing on the cover of his Roxy Music group’s debut album, Sirens.
They split five months later, but she also appeared in a 1976 video for his solo hit Let’s Stick Together.
She was then one of the most famous models in the world and met Mick Jagger in 1976.
They have four children together and had an unofficial wedding ceremony in Bali in 1990, but separated in 1999, over his infidelity, Hall said.
After that, she had several younger lovers, starting with film producer George Waud and then London banker Tim Attias, 49.
She then met scientist Armand Leroi, 51, but the two split last year, before her relationship with Murdoch was announced when they were pictured at the Rugby World Cup in October 2015.
