Team Fortress 2 got a massive update! We have the patch notes for the Team Fortress 2 update for July 8, 2022.

These changes will likely be welcome for players, whether long-lived or short-lived. So without further ado, let’s dig into them.
Team Fortress 2 Patch Notes
So, the patch notes are as follows for the game:
- Several fixes to address exploits and stability issues
- Added a game server setting, “net_chan_limit_msec”, which allows server operators to limit the amount of processing time the game server can spend processing packets for each client per tick. Clients that send packets that cause the server’s CPU processing time to exceed configured milliseconds will be kicked out of the game server.
- Added a game server setting, “net_chan_stats_dump” which, when enabled, will dump the stats for each network channel when that network channel is closed. Statistics include messages, bandwidth, and CPU processing time distribution.
- Added a game server setting, “tf_fall_damage_disablespread”, to disable random fall damage (default: 0)
- Fixed inability to adjust the offset for the unusual effect of a cosmetic item
- Fixed some players seeing [unknown] for their player name
- Fixed broken transparency on cosmetics
- Fixed lag compensation when melee with teammates
- Fixed inability to hit a player’s hitbox if it extends outside of the player’s bounding box during an animation
- Fixed rendering of jiggle bones in loadout and item previews
- Fixed the Iron Bomber projectile collision size not matching other projectile collision sizes
- Fixed ConVar buttons flickering after being clicked to toggle the value
- Fixed shortstop push appearing as self-dealing damage
- Fixed Mini-Sentry guns not triggering damage alerts in the HUD
- Fixed net_disconnect_reason affecting disconnect messages on client
- Fixed Medi Gun charges expiring too soon if a server forces add_uber_time
- Fixed network edits being used for server-side entities only
- Mat_picmip updated to allow values ​​less than -1
- Updated/Added some tournament medals
- Update localization files
- Updated Mann vs MachineFixed not being able to kick spectators
- Fixed bots not showing correct names
- Fixed loading screen backgrounds on Valve servers
- Fixed Übercharge charge rate and duration upgrade not working for Vaccinator
- Updated Arena mode Fixed players being able to join the game late
- Fixed unassigned squad players being able to kill other players
When was the last Team Fortress 2 update patch?

The latest game update was released on June 23, but it was a relatively minor update that only fixed small things. This is the game’s biggest update since yesterday, June 22.
